In the series “Alien Artefacts” the artist explores biomorphic aesthetics and narratives of science-fiction through the medium of 3D-printing. The sculptures, virtual drawings printed from bio-degradable polylactic acid, resemble archaeologic findings in the shape of fossiles and petrified animal bodies. As fictional artefacts of a yet-to-be-explored future, they remind us of a world that we may leave behind… or a complex universe, that ultimately transcends humanity’s horizon of scientific knowledge.
