In my artistic practice, I explore the profound relationship between materiality and existing concepts of use. My installations bring together art historical movements such as Arte Povera and Minimal Art by positioning elements of everyday use within minimalist arrangements. The combination of rough, used material with a simple compositional approach creates space in which a new kind of transformation of the material can take place. Through my works, I reflect on questions of identity, origin and cultural affiliation. When you look at my works, you penetrate deeper and always discover new, multi-layered levels. Leaving traces is an essential element of my art. The works are characterized by signs that tell stories and make the past visible. As part of the 3rd generation of immigrants in Germany, I am in search of my own identity and belonging. These personal questions have significantly shaped my artistic journey and drive me to explore viewpoints, traces and dimensions of diversity. Through my artistic exploration, I have found a language to deal with my experiences and emotions. With each work, I get to know myself better and reflect on my own journey of self-discovery. The manner of curatorial presentation plays a decisive role for me. I consciously integrate my works into the character of the respective space or location in order to create an intensive exchange between the artwork and its surroundings. """""
