Product Description
is part of the LAZY SWIM collection and is a one-of-a-kind sculptural seating objects.
Neatly stacked towels reveal themselves as a seating sculpture stacked from five to seven terry cloths made of silicone. The fuzzy texture is achieved by pressing silicone through a mesh fabric to create the impression of textile threads.
The project explores the evocative power of everyday objects, concentrating on their ability to disrupt reality and transport us elsewhere.
Often times it is the trivial objects that might seem to be minor characters in a scene – ladders, towels, tiles or pool noodles, that have the power to evoke memories because of their tactile appeal, their peculiar but recognisable shape and their Proustian character. A glance or a touch can take you somewhere else.
Rooted in an enduring fascination with swimming pool motifs, this collection explores the fine line between expectation and surprise, where familiar forms reveal unexpected materiality and function, challenging perceptions and inviting moments of playful discovery.
