Product Description
This work turns a kitchen dish rack into a fountain with continuously circulating water, with scattered coins forming part of the piece. It refers to the familiar act of throwing coins into a fountain to make a wish, while placing this gesture within an everyday object associated with cleaning, tidying, and service work.
The continuous flow of water points to repetitive labor that often goes unnoticed: washing, cleaning up, and maintaining order. These tasks usually take place after others have used the space, and they are rarely noticed. By making this process continue endlessly, I try to create a cycle between the hope for a better life and the invisible labor that keeps everyday life running.
