Product Description
In his sculptural works, the human figure is reinterpreted through a process of upcycling everyday discarded objects. By
using recycled materials, the artist both literally and symbolically constructs a new identity from the remnants of consumption—those same remnants produced and consumed by people. The very act of construction—gluing, breaking, covering—references not only a process of preservation, but also one of transformation: from waste to aesthetics, from function to meaning. The inspiration drawn from the Egyptian practice of mummification further deepens associations with the preservation of form over time, while the use of bright colors and synthetic materials points to the artificial nature of modern life.
