Black Ferk Studio

The art collective "Black Ferk Studio", founded by Matthias Mollner and Judith Schoßboeck, deals with existential and political questions in its projects and highlights the problems of repression and invisibility. Topics such as chronic illness, neurodiversity and ableism are at the center of its work. As part of the Parallel, five artists are shown whose works deal with the dark side of human existence and address taboo topics such as illness and death. Two of these artists are themselves affected by multisystem diseases such as ME/CFS and work with sometimes severe physical limitations, e.g. bedriddenness or severe neurological symptoms. The "Black Ferk Studio" shows these artists who work under difficult conditions and those who refer to them in their works. 30% of proceeds of the collective will be donated to ME/CFS research organisations or NGOs.""
