Ulla Rauter works as a media artist at the intersection of sound art and visual art. Her works include performative sculptures, musical performances and self-built instruments. Her sensor-based interfaces and installations have been shown internationally in performances and exhibitions.

Metronomes prepared with electromagnets beat the rhythm of the artist’s heart while listening to music. The heartbeat and its changes during the piece of music, was inscribed as a tempo track in the metronomes.
