From a constantly changing perspective, Maria Hanl explores human conditionality and is interested in the relationship between subjects and objects and the spaces that unfold through these connections. Her artistic approach can be described as a practice of reflection. Hanl is less interested in states than in the constant changes inscribed in every living organism and in shifts in meaning that accompany these changes.
