Product Description
This work explores how culture becomes fragmented when key stories and communal memories are forgotten and aims to bring these narratives of unity to the forefront through traditional pattern inspired by Ukrainian, Polish and Russian clothing as well as wooden crockery. Red, blue and green patterns are painted on an embossed table cloth and stretched, filling the space with colour and movement. In a storm of conflict, these elements become anchors for connection, inner peace, and a drive to repair what has been torn apart. This work was created in response to music about tensions in Ukraine long before the war broke out and in current context serves as a warning and an attempt to piece together a shared future.
