Product Description
This work explores identity crisis in conflict, having close connections with those on either side of it (for the artist, in Ukraine and Russia), and second guessing what is right and what is wrong in a sea of propaganda. Working with traditional patterns from both countries, Ksenia adorns a skewed mirror embedded in a yellow trapezoid wooden window frame with red and blue flowers and leaves as if to glorify the reflection in it but also to remind them of what truly matters – community, memory which is being erased through armed conflict. It is both a subversion of a false leader might see in his reflection, and a reminder of home.
