JL Maxcy is an American born artist from the gulf coast town of Victoria, TX. They studied art at the University of Texas in Arlington, where they earned their B.F.A in Painting. JL moved to London in 2014 and currently lives and works out of their studio in Twickenham.

Childfree Madonnas is a series aimed at elevating the status of those who are childless-by-choice. In a world with dwindling resources due to climate change and soaring population growth, these works hope to illustrate how childlessness can be an act of virtue and generosity.
