Product Description

Melusine is an intimate installation project designed for a limited number of spectators. Playing with different degrees of transparency created by the water condensation on a glass, a woman dances. In counterpoint, her body bathed in black water slides, crawls and moults to sometimes take monstrous looks. Nudity as an erotic bait traps the spectator between surfaces whose partial opacity protects the performer. The imminent escape of the latter from the space of representation endangers any attempt of voyeurism, trapping the male gaze and its imperious desire to see. Water is an ally in this game of seduction – repulsion where the body, viscous and undefined, would emancipate from normative projections.
