“Apis Humane” a project by Christa Sommerer & Laurent Mignonneau, is an interactive computer installation that explores humanity’s relationship with bees. Viewers see themselves in a vibrant, digital garden on an LCD screen. As they approach, digital bees emerge from their eyes, symbolizing our mix of attraction and fear towards these creatures. The piece creates a unique symbiosis between humans, artificial bees, and a digitally constructed environment, prompting viewers to reevaluate their connections with the natural world.
