Product Description
For this project, a reproduction of an original canvas was created by first photographing the artwork and then transferring it at a 1:1 scale onto A3-sized printing. The Prints are coming from the original painting from 2020, called “Just Flip a Coin” and “Red Moon”. This printed paper served as the starting material for artistic exploration, with shapes and colors torn from the printed sheets. The torn fragments were then rearranged and stapled onto canvas, establishing a direct and physical connection between the manipulated paper and the original canvas material.
Through the act of tearing and rearranging the paper pieces, the work undergoes not only a visual transformation but also a symbolic liberation from formal and conceptual constraints. The use of canvas as a support material and office stapler adds structure and solidity to the work, introducing an additional layer that intensifies the dialogue between the fragments and the original.
The “Shed” work series has neither front nor back and is framed in a special double-glass frame.
