Product Description
Skin evolved as a graveyard for unused materials from the Performance of Faces 2 in Berlin 2024, incorporating
prints and preparatory copies into a 4.2-meter-wide curtain. This idea
of skin represents the collective s ongoing exploration of themes of transformation
and identity. The project expanded with I am fine!? the art book, to visually
translate the experience of depression. Faces 2 combined prior elements
into a performative piece featuring a stage of 20 Faces works, layered with
printed transparencies. During the performance, torn prints became material
for a site-specific collage. Accompanied by a 32:34-minute audio diary on
self-doubt and delusion, the performance culminated in a large-scale collage,
Faces 2, stapled directly to the wall.
The paper remnants of this performance were later further processed, with staples onto linen, into the object “Skin” during a residency. The work has neither a front nor a back and is both a floating object/sculpture and a double-sided wall collage.
