Galerie Sommer

The gallery, run by Gerhard Sommer, has been based in Graz since 1989. The gallery focuses on Austrian artists who have had a seminal influence on art since 1945. These include Gunter Brus, Hermann Nitsch, Otto Muehl and Rudolf Schwarzkogler from the group of Viennese Actionists, who gained international recognition and imitation through their radical equation of art and life. The gallery is also dedicated to other representatives of contemporary art.
