Erin Patricia Sankey

Erin Patricia Sankey (b. 1995) is currently studying painting under Judith Eisler at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, and graduated from Ohio State University in 2017 with dual B.A. degrees in Philosophy and in German. Sankey conveys her fascination with logic, semiotics, and the subjectivity of human experience through her mise-en-scene approach to painting. She employs the motifs from her personal visual language as free agents in the logical system of her oeuvre - playing with the interlocution between her actors as they repeat, change, and interact across works. She recently exhibited at Pilot, 1zwei3, and the Sigmund Freud Museum in Vienna and contributed to the zine Exquisite Corpse.
