PARALLEL SKULPTURENPARK
The sculpture park takes place from 28.6. - 31.8.2024 during the Salzkammergut Festwochen Gmunden at the same time as Gmunden Photo, events organized by the Linz University of Art, concerts in the park area and numerous other events.

THIS YEAR, BAD ISCHL ALSO HOLDS THE TITLE OF EUROPEAN CAPITAL OF CULTURE. UP TO 10,000 VISITORS ARE THEREFORE EXPECTED TO VISIT THE PARK DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS. THE OPEN-AIR CONCERT BY THE BRUCKNER ORCHESTRA LINZ WILL ALSO TAKE PLACE IN TOSCANAPARK AND WILL BE BROADCAST LIVE ON ORF3.

About PARALLEL EDITIONS
In 2020 PARALLEL EDITIONS was launched successfully in addition to the main fair PARALLEL VIENNA (in September). PARALLEL EDITIONS will take from 12.12-15.12.2024 in Vienna. With EDITIONS Parallel Vienna focuses on editions, various graphics, multiples, small sculptures, objects, sculptures and art books. Thus, art editions are the core of the unique art fair! We are very pleased that the exclusive table edition of the internationally renowned artist Heimo Zobernig provides a unified display of the works.
THE CONCEPT
ESTABLISHED AND EMERGING ARTISTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD GATHER TO SHOWCASE THEIR LATEST WORKS ACROSS VARIOUS MEDIUMS, INCLUDING PAINTING, SCULPTURE, DIGITAL ART, AND PERFORMANCE.

About PARALLEL VIENNA
Founded in 2013, PARALLEL Vienna is dedicated to transforming unconventional, vacant spaces
into dynamic exhibition venues. Held annually in September, the fair offers a curated,
experimental environment where emerging talents intersect with established artists, galleries,
institutions, and independent initiatives.
Emphasizing site-specific interventions, performances, and artist-led projects—enhanced by
music events and culinary concepts—PARALLEL Vienna fosters novel experiences and
encounters between art, its creators, and the audience
SEGMENTS
The structural framework comprises six curated segments:
ARTIST STATEMENTS highlight emerging talents. Selected artists are provided with solo
spaces to develop and present recent work.
INTERVENTIONS feature site-specific works and artist-led projects that respond to the
unique spatial context.
GALLERY STATEMENTS showcase a singular artistic position.
PROJECT STATEMENTS offer a platform for art associations and independent spaces to
present their current programs, with up to five artists.
COOP STATEMENTS expand the fair’s hybrid nature and are dedicated to collaborative
formats featuring up to three artists in a shared presentation.
INSTITUTIONS presents contributions from public collections, museums, and art
academies, reinforcing the dialogue between educational, institutional, and independent
spheres.

In 2020 PARALLEL EDITIONS was launched successfully in addition to the main fair PARALLEL VIENNA (in September). This year we have found a new exciting location – In 2023 PARALLEL EDITIONS took place in cooperation with the Neue Kunstverein Wien in a former large car dealership at Rennweg 110, 1030 Vienna.
In terms of timing, PARALLEL EDITIONS 2024 will take place from 12.-15.12.2024. With EDITIONS Parallel Vienna focuses on editions, various graphics, multiples, small sculptures, objects, sculptures and art books. Thus, art editions are the core of the unique art fair!
