The galerie michaela stock was founded in 2009 by Michaela Stock in Vienna's Schleifmühlgasse. The gallery has a strong focus on conceptual and performance art, and Central and Eastern European artists. The aim of gallery's programme is to explore the interrelations between the artistic practice as performance, photography, video and films as well as those between contemporary art theory and aesthetics and literature. From 2015 to 2019 the Michaela Stock organised a yearly performance festival event together with Marko Markovic called DOPUST Vienna & and later the CAPTURE PERFORMANCE FOKUS. During COVID-19 crisis Michaela Stock launched in the gallery SALON REAL / VIRTUAL, a new gallery concept: real vs virtual. "
