Hybrid Art Fair – Ey!Studio

Hybrid Art Fair is a different and disruptive international contemporary art event focused on presenting experimental proposals and site-specific installations. In its seven editions, it has positioned itself as the Spanish springboard par excellence for new artists and a meeting point for collectors. Hybrid Art Fair offers a unique space to give visibility to adventurous projects and expand the professional horizons of independent initiatives and young galleries. Hybrid Art Fair collaborates with Parallel Vienna since 2022. The fair exchange flagship participants, this year representing Hybrid Art Fair will exhibit the art platform based in Huelva, LaEclectica. The platform will present a solo project of artist Maria JL Hierro. The creative process of Maria JL Hierro originates from her concern to have the time to reflect and to question current human behaviors. Rush, changes and interpersonal relationships are some of the themes that conforms her projects. She proposes that what and how we think and relate to each other depends, in part, on the number of words that we hear, read and learn. She is interested in using words as weapons and armors, the intermediate layers and what lives between the lines, the dualities. She analyzes the phrases and the words she coexists with, through a transformation and expansion of its initial concepts. Plays with the letters and a few self-imposed variables, such as color and position, to obtain a simple and direct visual poetry, known as typoetry, simple and direct message in the mind of the observant. "
