Susan Lisbin is a sculptor and painter from NY. Here sculpture and painting are both concerned with abstract forms that have a human quality and focus on relationships. Line, gesture, materials and color become metaphors for the delicate elements interaction generates. Her images function on a variety of levels to highlight these experiences from humor to sexuality. The works of this exhibition deal with interpersonal relationships, sexuality and identity. She explores how feminity, masculinity and non-binary gender identities express themselves and how society deals with the “other”. photo courtesy of Sirpa Cowell. www.susanlisbin.com @susan_lisbin. “BETWIXT”, 21 x 16 x 13 cm, low fired clay and encaustic.
