INSTALLATION / INTERVENTION / PERFORMANCE:
The children from Spiegelgrund – WASH YOUR SOUL

PROJECTSTATEMENT: Pavilion XV, Euthanasia Program,
Department: Eradication Measures, Department: Genetic and Racial Care.

” Am Spiegelgrund refers to a youth welfare institution of the City of Vienna, where during the National Socialistic era from 1940 to 1945, sick, disabled and ‘uneducable’ children and young people were tortured and around 800 children were murdered. The National Socialistic racial madness demanded the ‘eradication’ of ‘a life unworthy of living'”.

More than 800 white balls, strung together to form a kind of pearl necklace. Each ball represents a murdered child from Spiegelgrund . In this installation/intervention they form the fundaments and protective shield for an “art-healing-space”, a kind of “chapel – an oracle”.
A place of contemplation, reflection and love. Healing and warning.

It is an art project and not therapeutic or religious one!

We offer you following options as part of the concept WASH YOUR SOUL :

1. You have seen the installation and have no further interest in WASH YOUR SOUL . We would like to thank you very much for your time and attention. And wish you all the best.
2. You enter the room once again and this time very consciously – with all senses – ALONE and SINGLELY. When you enter the room, an initial basic soul cleansing takes place. The dirt trap at the entrance door cleans the coarsest dirt from us humans.
3. According to our times there is following program, the EXPRESS – cleansing as SELF-SERVICE: Simply follow the written instructions that you will get. You have received a quick, basic soul cleansing in this art setting. All the best.
4. Pre-registration is required for the more intensive WASH YOUR SOUL -setting. Take advantage of this unique opportunity and become part of this art performance.
Simply send an E-mail to info@omarte.at with your name, telephone number, E-mail address and the password WASH . This is possible till the start of the art fair, September 11th, 2024. Because there re only a few limited numbers of places, priority will be given to the people who have contacted us first.
