Alan Neider is an US-based artist and started his career in the 1970s with a Robert Rauschenberg Work Grant. Since then he has been interested in the dissolution of the two-dimensional image surface. His haptic paintings make use of objets trouvés – Ikea bags, dresses and jewellery. He paints over his compositions with acrylic, spray paint or tar.
