Alan Neider is an US-based artist and started his career in the 1970s with a Robert Rauschenberg Work Grant. Since then he has been interested in the dissolution of the two-dimensional image surface. His haptic paintings make use of objets trouvés – Ikea bags, dresses and jewellery. He paints over his compositions with acrylic, spray paint or tar. His inspiration draws from the world of fashion and glamour. photo courtesy of Alan Neider. www.alanneider.com @aneider52. “BLUE DRESS”, 140 x 89 x 10 cm , clothing, fabrics, collage, paint.
