PREQUEL - PARIS
Exhibition by day, music and performance by night. PREQUEL
marks the international debut of PARALLEL Vienna.
The established Austrian art fair expands its format during Paris Art Week with an off-site location in Barbès. A former subterranean warehouse of the French textile giant Tati, now home to Parisian club U122AE, transforms for three days and nights into an exhibition space, stage, and bar.
A curated group of Austrian and international artists and galleries presents a sharp selection of multimedia works, spanning sculpture, installation, video, sound, and performance. In light of the dense program schedule during Art Basel Paris, PREQUEL opens daily from 4:00 PM to 09:00 PM.
As night falls, art merges with nightlife as the two lower levels become a bar and a space for music and performance.
