GENERAL INFORMATION
PARALLEL Vienna will take place from 16–20 September 2026 at the Otto Wagner Areal
(Baumgartner Höhe 1, 1140 Vienna, Austria).

Art associations and project spaces: Project Statements / Editions
Gallery Statements
Present a singular artistic position.
Project Statements
Provide a platform for art associations and independent project spaces to present their current
programs with up to five artists.
Coop Statements
Focus on collaborative formats and reflect the fair’s hybrid character, featuring up to three artists in a
shared presentation.
Artist Statements
A solo platform for emerging artists to present their most recent work.
Participation is free of charge and intended for artists at the start of their careers and/or without gallery
representation.
Interventions
Present site-specific works and artist-led projects responding to the spatial context.
Interventions are free of charge and by invitation only.
Institutions
Present contributions from art collections, museums, and art academies, fostering dialogue between
institutional, educational, and independent contexts.
Editions
A fair segment dedicated to editions: various graphics, multiples, small sculptures, objects, textiles and
art books.
APPLICATION MATERIALS
Please submit the following materials as part of your application:
• A short exhibition concept (½–1 A4 page) plus visual material
• A current portfolio (for collaborative or project-based applications, portfolios of all participating artists)
• A link to the applicant’s website
• Links to social media channels
ROOM SIZES AND PRICING
PARALLEL Vienna is based on the temporary use of existing buildings. Therefore, presentation spaces are not standardized as in conventional art fairs.
As a guideline:
• Gallery Statements: approx. 25-30 sqm
• Coop and Project Statements: approx. 15-20 sqm
• Artist Statements: variable, averaging approx. 10-15 sqm
• Editions: variable, averaging approx. 10-15 sqm
Participation fees:
• Gallery Statements (Theater) – TBA
• Gallery Statements – € 2800 net
• Coop and Project Statements – € 1200 net
• Editions – € 1200 net
• Artist Statements and Interventions – free of charge
• Applicants wishing to participate in two different segments (Gallery Statement + Editions /
